Through a vocational preparation measure, I came across the Brady company and became aware of the apprenticeship as a specialist in warehouse logistics. Due to a short internship, I noticed that the training suits me great. The process of the goods acceptance to the deposit and outsourcing of products and the sending of finished pack pieces, for example for a freight forwarder, to the transforming of larger quantity units into hand-friendly small picking units, is very interesting and varied. In addition, flexibility is always required because our range of goods contains larger items such as bulky goods and you have to adjust to the goods accordingly.
The theoretical know -how I bought in the vocational school makes it easier for me to adapt to the requirements of our customers and suppliers in everyday work. But what does such everyday work actually look like? In principle, it is about properly treating and packing goods of all kinds. For example, it is important to choose the correct cardboard size or to pay attention to special features for dangerous goods. In the meantime, I am working completely independently at the various work stations and can participate in productive to meet our high service standards.
In addition to my main department, I was able to go through various departments such as the production, purchase, marketing, the customer service and the HR department in addition to my main department. This better understood how the individual areas work together and why an open flow of information within the company is important. A smooth cooperation of all departments is the basic building block of a successful company.
Due to the constant further development of new technologies, machines and methods, the structure and way of working in the warehouse changes regularly. As a result, the work remains varied and exciting.
I can definitely recommend the training as a warehouse clerk at Brady! The daily work is a lot of fun and the colleagues are also great!
