The Durabook Z14i is a so -called “rugged laptop”, i.e. a specially reinforced notebook for rough environments. It was developed for situations in which commercially available devices have long since failed – for example in high heat, smoke development, heavy rain or mechanical stress. Certified according to the military standard MIL-STD-810H as well as IP65 the device offers protection against falls, bumps, moisture, dust, sand and water.
Especially in summer, when the fire brigade and emergency services are increasingly confronted with forest fires, storms or floods, such a device is an indispensable operating tool. Emergency services can also reliably use the Z14i under extreme conditions for situation exploration, communication and data analysis.
Ready to use despite protective equipment and adverse circumstances
The aluminum magnesium housing of the Z14i not only protects the built-in technology, but also ensures that neither extinguishing water nor dust or mud get inside. Even with a heat build -up in the vehicle or in the immediate vicinity of the fire site, the device remains operational – temperatures up to 60 degrees Celsius does not affect function or battery.
Thanks to Dynavue display, the screen is easy to read even in direct sunlight or at dusk. Particularly practical: the device can also be operated with gloves – a decisive advantage with full protective equipment. With up to 21.5 hours of battery life in dual operation, the Z14i is also suitable for long -lasting inserts without reloading.
Recognize with AI embers and danger zones
The Durabook Z14i is not only robust, but also technically up to date. It has Intel Core Ultra processors with AI Boost, optional Nvidia-RTX-A500 GPU and Windows 11.
With the support of artificial intelligence, the system can identify embers after a fire before igniting again. In the event of storms, AI helps to recognize flooded roads, unstable buildings or other risk zones at an early stage and prioritize measures accordingly.
Full connectivity for data, drones and diagnostic devices
Fast, stable communication is crucial in use – even away from classic network infrastructure. That is why the Z14i offers a variety of interfaces: two Thunderbolt 4 connections, HDMI, two RJ-45 ports, ExpressCard 54, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth V5.4, dual SIM support and integrated GPS.
Particularly noteworthy are the two serial RS-232 ports-important for connecting older but proven technology such as thermal imaging cameras, measuring probes or mobile drone stations. For example, data on air quality, fire expansion or water level can be recorded in real time and evaluated directly in the operations management.
Conclusion: digital resilience for emergencies
With the Z14i, Durabook offers a well thought -out, resistant work equipment for emergency services that is far more than just a notebook. It combines high physical resilience with the latest AI hardware and a variety of interfaces-ideal for fire brigade, disaster protection and emergency services.
Especially in times of increasing extreme weather events and increasing demands on reaction speed and data use, the Z14i represents a reliable technical platform in order to coordinate inserts safely, faster and more data -based.
