The expansion of electromobility continues to be a big topic. The Electromobility Act (EmoG) and the associated tax breaks for companies and private individuals promote the switch to electric cars.
More electric cars means that the need for charging options is growing. That is why the Building Electromobility Infrastructure Act (GEIG) stipulates that Non-residential buildings that have existed since January 2025, i.e. companies, hotels, shops, etc. with more than 20 parking spaces must provide at least one charging point. When building new non-residential buildings with more than 6 parking spaces, every third parking space must be equipped with protective pipes for electrical cables and a charging point must also be built.
Company-owned electric parking spaces as a competitive advantage
Anyone who drives an electric car, e-bike or e-scooter has to regularly recharge the battery. Ideally, regular parking times can be used for this, for example during work, shopping or training. Public charging stations make your company, hotel, restaurant or store attractive to customers and visitors. Charging options on the company premises are also a big plus point for your own employees or for recruiting new skilled workers.
Set up e-charging stations on company premises
E-car drivers know this: public charging stations are shown on the navigation system in the vehicle, but they are not that easy to find in industrial areas because there is no signage.
When setting up your e-parking spaces, ensure good visibility and secure charging stations and wall boxes. By marking the parking spaces, ensure that other vehicles and the rest of the traffic are not hindered by electric vehicles during the charging process.
