The 5th BHE specialist symposium “Burglary Protection” took place on February 9th and 10th, 2026 at the Hotel Esperanto in Fulda. According to the BHE Federal Association for Safety Technology, around 160 experts took part in the two-day event. The program included specialist lectures, an accompanying exhibition and a networking evening.

Lectures on certification, KRITIS and radio technology

According to BHE, the lecture program covered a wide range of topics. One focus was the new specialist company certification for hold-up and burglary alarm systems (ÜMA/EMA) as well as hazard warning systems. In addition, speakers addressed the requirements for security technology in the context of critical infrastructures (KRITIS) and the European NIS 2 directive. According to the association, further lectures covered the advantages of open interfaces in networked buildings, security glazing and wireless intrusion detection technology according to VdS Class B.

Trade exhibition and networking

Accompanying the lecture program, 13 providers presented themselves in an integrated specialist exhibition. The participants were able to find out about current products and solutions in burglary protection in a direct conversation. On the evening of the first day of the event, an industry meeting offered the opportunity for professional exchange in an informal setting. The next BHE specialist symposium on “burglary protection” is planned for 2028.
