The change of name is more than cosmetics: it is intended to meet the claim to represent the security interests of the German economy at the federal and EU levels- to politics, security authorities, the media and the public.

An experienced successor, a recognized predecessor

Studfel follows Alexander Borgschulze, who has strategically shaped and modernized the association in recent years. Under his leadership, security was made visible as an economic policy cross -sectional topic – with concrete impulses for political decision -making processes, entrepreneurial resilience and official cooperation.

“He has given the association structure, visibility and trust,” said Strümpfel his predecessor. He hands over a well -ordered house – with clear goals for the future: effectively encounter security threats, promote industry -specific solutions and further strengthen the end of the shoulder with authorities and research institutions.

The VSW Federal Association wants to actively fill out this role- as an impulse, mediator and political interlocutor at the federal and European level.

“Security is the new location factor,” said Strümpfel. “We can only make the German economy more resistant with a common effort – this is not a task for individuals, but for a networked system of companies, authorities, science and politics.”
