The European Police Congress 2025 in Berlin brought together around 2,300 experts and decision -makers from the police, politics and technology – traveled from all over Europe. The challenges were clearly outlined – from hybrid threats to disinformation campaigns to the growing importance of cyber defense. The focus of many discussions: the question of how powerful and trustworthy IT infrastructures can contribute to the resilience of European security authorities.

Controlware, long-time IT partner in the public sector, informed at the congress fair about solutions that are specially tailored to the needs of police authorities. • AI-based evaluation of drone data:
  Drones have long been an integral part of modern police work – for example at major events or in the assessment of the situation in confusing situations. However, the evaluation of the resulting image and sensor data requires powerful and safe IT architectures. Controlware presented solutions that ensure continuous end-to-end encryption as well as compliance-compliant processing of these sensitive data-both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Sovereign multi-cloud architectures:
  In order to avoid dependencies on hyperscalers and to maintain digital sovereignty, Controlware, together with authorities, develops individual multi-cloud strategies. The focus is on safe architecture, risk management and seamless integration into existing infrastructures.
